Fly Southwest: CLT to Springfield, Illinois

Now, before you get your knickers in a twist, hear me out: Flying from Charlotte to Springfield on Southwest is not exactly akin to a 'middle-earth-to-Mordor' expedition. Actually, it’s far from it. But, let it be known that one does not simply walk into the cockpit of a plane...unless of course, you are the pilot, for let’s be real, that would make the most sense!

If you're an earthling like myself and not blessed with the capability to sprout wings, then boy, you need flights. Whether it's one-way, round-trip, direct flights, non-stop, or even, brace yourself, the dreaded red-eye flights: Southwest has got your back.

Can you smell the cheap flights? I swear they have the scent of victory, and on us humble travelers, it smells like an aromatic blend of a fresh brewed pot of opportunities and major savings – 'Eau de Value'.

Unlike some of our diet plans, Southwest follows a strict policy of 'no layovers' for the direct flights from Charlotte to Springfield. That's right, folks! I always say it's better to be safe than sorry, unless we’re talking about pizza slices, in that case, I encourage reckless abandon.
