Fly Southwest: MAF to Allentown, Pennsylvania

Picture this. There I was, standing amidst a sea of cowboy boots and Lone star flags, my eyes squinting into the bright Texan sun. An ordinary traveler might wonder "What is there so compelling in Undefined, Midland that I had to leave my comfortable sofa?" Don't get me wrong, I too enjoy the tranquility of Netflix and air conditioning but the allure of the open skies and a good ole ' {@airfare} discount going to Allentown was just too much to resist.

Remember, not all who wander are lost, my friends. Some of them are just looking for a good {@flight deals}, am I right? That's right. I was planning to hop on one of those neat Southwest Airlines {@flights}. But don’t mull over their name too much. They do fly in all directions, not just Southwest. Go figure.

Now you might be wondering, "Why would anyone want to sit on a cramped plane for hours on end, munching salty peanuts and trading elbow space with a stranger?" Well, sit tight, my friend. I'm going to let you in on a little secret. The thrill of knowing that you're airborne, journeying through the blinding white clouds and the crisp blue sky while perched thousands of feet above ground, it’s more exhilarating than you think. All the while, living out your dream of impersonating a sardine in a can. Mind-blowing isn't it?

As I stood there, staring into the distance, awaiting my @one-way ticket to freedom, I couldn’t help but think about the wonders that Allentown held for me. Well, I have excelled at building castles in the air since third grade. The Southwest shuttle was no different. My dream was brought back to earth by the deafening roar of a Boeing 737 thundering down the tarmac. It was time!

Now, if you've never been on a @direct flight before, let me steal the opportunity to enlighten you. It's equivalent to running a marathon, except, you literally have to just sit there. You mastered that skill by age 2, didn’t you? Don’t forget the bliss of having zero layovers, zero frustrating switchovers, just you and your seatbelt for the entire {@flight duration}. Living the dream!

Not to forget the in-flight services. Some say in-flight service is to air travel, what sunlight is to Superman. On a {@domestic flights}, you get a chance to become a connoisseur of exquisite cuisine – at 30,000 feet! Who knew small plastic trays could hold such delicacies? Southwest's heavenly pretzels, trust me they are the stuff of legends. And the drink service? One more free soda and I may end up buying the whole airplane.

Remember folks, when life hands you an airplane ticket, you don't question it! You take it, pack your bags (making sure you comply with their @baggage allowance policy, of course) and embark on an adventure of a lifetime. When you hear Allentown beckoning, you leave your Undefined woes behind in Midland, even if only for a while.
