Fly Southwest: MHT to Sarasota, Florida

Embarking on a journey can sometimes be a stimulating adventure, an endearing escapade imbued with a certain thrill that only a true traveler can understand. I vividly remember my journey, encapsulated with experiences and emotions, boarding a flight on Southwest from the heartwarming city of Manchester headed towards the beautiful retreat of Sarasota.

As an intermediate level traveler with a fair share of flights under my belt, I have considered a variety of factors when planning my trips. From carefully contemplating over direct flights versus connecting flights or choosing between a one-way or round-trip — each choice made a significant dent in my overall travel experience and the airfare associated with it.

The choice between a non-stop flight versus layover was another decision I deliberated on.

Though tempting to select a non-stop flight, which promises a shorter journey and the most direct route to your destination, my chosen route involved landing at Baltimore, providing an unforeseen yet welcoming layover period. Layovers are often seen as tedious and inconvenient but I found the stop offering a chance to briefly explore Baltimore before boarding my connecting flight to Sarasota.

Reflecting upon my choice of Economy class, I considered that Business and First-class have their charm with ample legroom and in-flight services. But Economy class with Southwest was an experience in itself. Their generous baggage allowance quite surprised me, adhering to their commitment towards making flights affordable and convenient for average voyagers like me.
